It is a sad day here… I knew this was coming but wanted to believe it wouldn’t. The Safeway coupon policy has been updated.
They have now changed the wording to the wonderful #9 that let us use catalina‘s from other stores which included the register rewards from Walgreens. These were taken at some stores and not at others as Corporate debated about what to do. Some stores that started accepting them reported not being able to be reimbursed for them like originally planned by corporate. So they have revised the coupon policy until htey are able to figure out how to work with these.
I think their reasoning is justified in changing it, but we all hope they will figure out how to be reimbursed for them so we can use them again!! But until then, this is how the revised policy has changed:
9. Safeway will accept valid Catalina manufacturer coupon that is issued to a customer by another retailer only if such coupon is for a specific item.
