Money Saving Mom put up a wonderful post on her blog about if things are really necessities. It really has gotten me thinking about how much fluff we have in our home. how much money are we wasting by thinking we can’t live without these things. Paper Towels have always been hard for us as we differ in our opinions of what needs to have a paper towel. for instance, I think paper towels are needed to clean up bleach type messes where you want to disinfect things, but my husband grew up in a family where they use paper towels for everything. He is beginning to see we really don’t need to use as many but I think he could never go without, and neither could I. But I definatly think think we could use less.
I am going to try this. I am going to work on using less or going completely without on as much as I can at home. I think this will help more save more then I think. Maybe I could convince my husband to do a 2 week experiment of going without, It may take a while, but I think I will try to convince him!
