Meal Plan Monday

by Melissa on December 21, 2009

So the past 3 weeks I threw the meal plan out the window.  I didn’t mean too, *Normal Human Moment* (If you don’t want to know that I am human, don’t read this next line) it just kind of happened when I didn’t make one.  I know kind of defeats the purpose.  Well, I didn’t go out to eat more but I did hate dinner time every night!  I would try to make dinner but I ended up every night looking in the fridge and freezer and putting off dinner until later and later and we ended up eating at 7:00 at night.  I hated it!!!!

So I decided to get back on the band wagon and do my meal plan this week so here it is for your viewing pleasure!!  I don’t have lunches on here because I honestly don’t have any idea what to plan for lunches.  We have always had leftovers for lunch because I would always make to much dinner.  In an attempt to be healthier I am watching our portion sizes.  So we are left with no leftovers and nothing for lunches.  So What do you eat???  I need ideas!!!

Breakfast:
Cereal
Green Smoothies
Oatmeal
Cinnamon Rolls
Christmas Breakfast (flat pancakes, strawberries, fruit, waffles….)
Breakfast Tacos (thanks Kristi)
Cream of Wheat With Raisins and Brown Sugar

Dinner:
Leftover Pizza
Mexican Lasagna
Spaghetti
Christmas Dinner At Mom’s
Leftovers
Split Pea Soup from christmas ham
Sunday Dinner with my mom

So help me out with lunches!  what are your ideas???

I pack my husband's lunch in the morning (usually a sandwich unless we have leftovers), but for myself and Lily, our lunches are usually orange/apple slices or carrots/celery with ranch with: sandwiches, quesadillas, soup, chicken nuggets, corn dogs, omelets with spinach turkey & cheese(Lily really likes eggs), or whatever else I feel like making at the time. Ok, so my choices are not always the healthiest, but I hope it gives you a few ideas.

Oh that does give me a couple ideas. Thanks for the input! My kids love eggs too!
