Homemade Pesto Recipe for two

One of our favorite summer meals is cool pesto pasta.  It is a great filling meal.

When we have it, I use homemade pesto.  It is so easy to make and tastes wonderful, so I thought I would share the recipe.

5 or so Cloves of Garlic
15 Large Fresh Basil Leaves
1/2 Cup of Pine Nuts (a more frugal option will be Walnuts, Pecans, or Cashews and it works just fine)
Salt and Pepper to taste
7 or so Tablespoons of Olive Oil

  1. In a Blender, Blend together the above ingredients, adding oil last.
  2. Mix with pasta and chicken or spread on bread or use on pizza crust

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Cloves Garlic
